Left Coast Velomobile Gathering

The inaugural Left Coast Velomobile Gathering was hosted by the Mortgage House and held in downtown San Luis Obispo, California in the spring of 2006.  Attendees were primarily from California, though Steve Schliecher and Tim Horton drove down from British Columbia, Canada with a pair of Aurora Velomobiles.  Mark & Carl Mueller (Windwrap Fairings) helped host our first effort with an initial webpage and the turnout included a strong showing of self-built machines.  Rides were held on the Saturday to Avila Beach and on Sunday to the nearby seaside community of Morro Bay, CA.

The LCVMG 2007 was held the following year, was also held in San Luis Obispo…, however an earlier-in-the-year date and a series of scheduling conflicts noticeably reduced the participants.  We again rode to Avila Beach on Saturday and made the 40 mile roundtrip to Morro Rock on Sunday before heading off in our various directions.
